Last night when I was leaning against a fireplace, playing Phoenix Wright on my Gameboy and eating Animal Crackers, it occured to me that the last and only other time I had ever eaten Animal Crackers had been roughly 18 years earlier, while playing Super Mario Land on my Gameboy on my cousin's porch.

This morning, I crossed the Lionsgate Bridge for the first time in thick fog. This is something I have been anticipating ever since I came here two years ago, so it was incredibly exciting.
Instead of distant mountains and sea (which I'll gladly take any other day of the year), today the view was such:

Fog is my favourite weather. These are so perfect.

It is mine as well!
Last summer Jarrett and I went to the Black Forest with my parents, and as we made our way up towards a peak, in came more and more fog, until we were completely enveloped by it -- my mother felt terrible, as Jarrett would not be able to witness the "view of the distant Alps", but Jarrett and I couldn't have been happier, really. Sure, I do love most everything Alpine, however I'd take thick fog over most anything on any given day.

Yes of course! It's "reading week", I have time to spare. Not that I didn't in spades before!

What do you feel like doing?

Nice.

This reminds me of the time last fall when we had more foggy days than I can remember ever having...

Thank you for pointing this video out to me! It's nice. I like the voice of the hedgehog.

Alexa, can you email me a hi-res version of the one with the glass building? I want to have it as my desktop :/ I'm reading Michael Talbot's "The Holographic Universe" right now and for some reason that photo reminds me of subatomic particles.

High resolution does not exist!
These all come from my cellphone, a very outdated one at that, so I'm afraid the largest they can be is demonstrated by the chestnut & birch photos behind the cut -- those are not sized down. And, while that may be a bit bigger, it's obviously not what you're asking for. I'm sorry, Taryn.

I've never, no ... there are so many craft/design/generally quaint magazines out in Japan, I always find it a bit overwhelming. From what I've been able to tell, though, leafing through various ones, is that they are all really into pastel tones and soft lighting. Let's get some early morning sun on that blue-checkered linen...

My point being that I enjoy those type of things as well.

Hey Charlene, when is it that you are going to be visiting with your relatives in Vancouver?
(I suppose I could be asking you this in our string of messages on facebook, but I'm here right now, so I thought I might as well ask while on this page!)

I should probably go and have a look at Toronto! It's a bit embarassing that I've already been in the country for two whole years, and yet not traveled beyond, um, Nanaimo...
