Thank you for sharing your photos with us! They always give me such a warm and at home feeling - something very familiar and safe so I feel so much better whenever I see your posts on LJ. They are also utterly gorgeous in composition and color, and I love the cropping you're doing! ♥

Thank you! I am first and foremost attracted to colour and texture when I am taking photos, so I am very glad to hear that it translates somehow.

As for the format -- they actually aren't cropped at all, rather, the negatives themselves are 6x6. So, that composition is what I am seeing while I am taking the photograph ... it isn't cropped afterwards.

these are beautiful... they look so much like what memories in a person's head would look like. I love the second one especially.

They rot gorgeously. The first one with black feather adds to the atmosphere, too.

Are those apples in the last picture too? They make for a beautiful shot, but I have to wonder who it was who dumped all those apples... and why? What was wrong with them? Well, like I said before, it's a beautiful picture. :)

Yes, those are apples as well! However, they were not placed there by anybody -- this swamp/pond is located down in a canyon (a man-made canyon in a quarry), and the edges of this canyon are lined with fruit trees. The ripe apples fell from their trees and tumbled far down into the water and dirt below. It's a distance so far that I am actually surprised that the fruit didn't crush on its way down ... I suppose they carefully rolled down the walls?

At any rate: Yes, those are apples.

The color of the water in 2 and 3 is so nice. Apples fallen into ponds are phenomenal.
